The Spring Sling Pickleball Tournament is a dedicated doubles, gender inclusive (male/male, female/female, male/female, or gender fluid) event open to all adults (18 & Over). All skill levels are invited to play. The deadline to register is Monday, April 5, 2021 and is limited to 60 participants. Each player must register individually. Your skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and your partner's name must be listed when you sign up. In order to be included in the schedule for the tournament, both players (per team) must be registered by the assigned deadline. DPR is unable to hold spots. Players will be pulled from the waitlist, according to the level of play needed for available slots.

This sampler is designed to introduce different sports, basic fundamentals of each sport, and provide exposure to Walltown Park. The sampler promotes an atmosphere of fun and learning in a controlled safe environment.

Enjoy getting fit and developing healthy habits together. Join us for a father (or father figure) and child fitness program both adults and children will enjoy. Have fun playing new fitness games and learning skills together.

Take a guided tour of Leigh Farm Park. You will learn about the families who lived here, their work, and life on a middle-class plantation. Venture inside the historic farmhouse while also visiting the slave cabin, speakeasy, and the Leigh Family Cemetery.

Take a guided tour of West Point on the Eno's historic buildings and grounds. While visiting the West Point Mill, McCown-Mangum House, and Hugh Mangum Museum of Photography, you will hear stories about the people who lived, worked, and played here.

Go behind the scenes with one of our Millers to get a tour of the West Point mill works, a grinding demonstration, and a bit of mill history. If you’d like to take home a bag of our cornmeal, grits, or wheat flour, a donation to benefit the Durham Parks Foundation is encouraged. Group sizes are limited to 14 participants, masks will be required, and social distancing will be enforced.
