  7. Food Traditions of the South: Greens

    The American South?s food traditions have a complicated, complex, curious history. Come eat your way through a seasonal meal built around Greens?collards, turnips, mustard, and others?grown in the West Point Garden. Chef and brewer, James Naquin, will discuss the cultural and historical significances of his chosen ingredients. Our garden staff will lead a short tour of our garden.

  8. Kids' Biathlon

    April 27, 2019, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Edison Johnson Recreation Center

    The Kids' Biathlon is a non-competitive fitness event for children ages 5 to 12. Participants will be grouped by age, and there will also be a "partner" category, allowing children to participate alongside an adult. The event will begin with a swim in the indoor Edison Johnson pool, followed by a run through the adjacent Rock Quarry Park. Swimming and running distances will vary by age. Everyone will receive a participation medal. The goal is to finish and have fun!
