Add all participants that are interested in registering to the camp waiting list, free of charge. Staff will be maintaining waiting lists as space becomes available.
May 31, 2024; after this date camp deposits will be retained and only camp fees will be refunded. Refund requests must be in writing and emailed to DPRCarePrograms@durhamnc.govat least 14 days prior to the start of camp.
All participants must have completed registration paperwork in our ePACT system prior to attending camp. Failure to complete required paperwork will result in program withdraw. ePACTforms and the Parent Handbook will be sent to all families via email on Wednesday, May 1,2024.
Participants in traditional and specialty camps will be provided breakfast, lunch and a snack.Half day camps operating in morning will be provided breakfast, half day camps operating in the afternoon will be provided an afternoon snack.
Participants requiring medication during camp hours must follow the DPR’s policy on Medication Administration. Please contact the onsite Recreation Specialist or email DPRCarePrograms@durhamnc.gov for more information.
Participants in traditional and specialty camps will have a scheduled swim and field trip day weekly. Participants in half day camps will not field trip or swim due to the time frame and camp structure.
All field trip costs are included in camp fee. Participants should not bring money to camp for any reason.
Yes, however any person picking up a participant must be listed on the child’s AuthorizedPick Up List (found on the ePACT Emergency Form). Any authorized person must present a valid picture ID at the time of pick up each day.
Each camp has a designated end time (varies by camp) A late fee of $20 will be applied for every 15 minutes past the close of camp. Excessive late pick-ups may result in services being terminated. Check camp brochure for specific camp close times.
Payment plans with due dates can be found online in your Active Net account or on the printed receipt. Withdrawals from camp due to non-payment will be done on the Monday following the payment due date.
Before the start of camp you will receive and email from the Recreation Specialist onsite with all of the information needed for the week, including the activity schedule, any field trip information (if applicable), contractors, volunteers visiting the camp etc
