Over 600 Rainbow Trout Get a New Home in Durham

During the first week in December, Twin Lakes II (439 Chandler Road, Durham) was stocked with trout provided by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission at no cost to the City of Durham. It took less than 10 minutes to get all of the fish in the lake!

Interested in fishing? Please review the following regulations that apply to trout fishing in this lake:

  • Fishing Licenses are required. The State of North Carolina requires persons 16 years of age or older to have a license to fish. Please visit the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission site for details and to obtain a license. 
  • Seven (7) trout per day creel limit
  • No minimum length limit
  • No bait restrictions
  • Trout may be harvested year-round
