ABCs of Bike Repair 2-3:30 PM - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

1st floor of the Main Library (300 N. Roxboro St.) outside the Makerlab.

Registration required! 

The Durham Bicycle Cooperative wants to empower people to not only repair their bicycles but keep them in safe working condition. In this free session, you'll learn the ABCs of bicycle safety: Air, Brakes, and Chain.

Air: It's important to keep your tires properly inflated, know how to change a tube in case you get a flat, and to check tires regularly for wear.

Brakes: It's important that your brakes are in good condition, properly adjusted, brake well, and that you know how to do minor adjustments that don’t require any tools.

Chain: The chain drives the whole bike, so it's important to check it for wear, and keep it shifting well.

Bike Repair Clinic 3:30-5:30 PM - REGISTRATION NOT REQUIRED

Join the Durham Bicycle Cooperative, Durham County Library and Durham Parks and Rec for the 2023 Kick-Off of the Mobile Bike Repair Clinic!

Bring your bike for a free tune up and get it ready for the warmer weather.

This event is presented by the Durham Bicycle Cooperative, Durham Parks and Recreation, and Durham County Library for the North Carolina Year of the Trail!
