Virtual MLK Event: Celebrating the Legacy Through the Arts

Join Durham Parks and Recreation as we host a virtual program to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The theme is MLK: Celebrating the Legacy Through the Arts. Participants will enjoy a series of activities highlighting the components in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., including visual entertainment, group discussion, and more. This event is free and open to the public.

This virtual event is for all ages and will be hosted via Zoom. Join us for the full event or drop-in at any time! 

There will be opportunities for group discussions at the beginning and end of the event. Participants are welcome to turn their cameras and mics on if they feel comfortable doing so! 

11 a.m.-11:45 a.m. - Welcome and Group Discussion (Topics will include, but are not limited to current events in the Durham Community, State, and Nationwide as well as COVID-19.)

11:45 a.m.-12 p.m. - Break

12 p.m.-12:45 p.m. - Entertainment (Transitions and Music provided by DJ Go Off)
