  1. Mill-To-Mill Hike: West Point to Guess Mill

    February 16, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ West Point on the Eno

    Put on your hiking gear, we're exploring the North Carolina Mountains-to-the-Sea Trail. On this Mill-to-Mill Hike, we are hiking the 4.5 miles between West Point Mill and Guess Mill Site (in the Eno River State Park). All along the route, your guide will talk about the history and culture of this section of the Eno River. All participants must bring at least 64 ounces of water, a lunch and snacks, and wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Minors must be accompanied by a registered adult. Preregistration required. In case of rain, ice, or snow, we will reschedule this hike for February 23, 2019. Limited to 15 participants.

The buildings skin utilizes patterns reminiscent of quilt designs from the Underground Railroad Era and woven textile patterns from West Africa. The Harvey B Gantt Center presents, preserves, and celebrates excellence in the art, history, and culture of African-Americans and those of African Descent.   16. Glow in the Dark Dodgeball

    Remember the days of playing dodgeball? Now is your chance to play it again, but in the dark! Come out and enjoy a fun new way of playing glow in the dark dodgeball. Individuals and teams are welcomed to participate in this high-energy dodgeball game. At least 4 players on a team, no more than 8 players per team. First half of event will be open play followed by a single game elimination tournament. Come out and see what all the excitement is about!
